CoS โ Personal Chief of Staff
CoS is a private, personal-use assistant designed to help one person manage their own Gmail inbox. It is not a public service: there is no sign-up, no customer accounts, and it is not offered to anyone else.
What CoS is designed to do
When it is operating, CoS:
- Reads new messages in its owner's Gmail account and identifies the ones that may need attention.
- Prepares proposed replies with the help of third-party AI models, and has each proposal checked by automated reviews.
- Shows each proposal to its owner on a private review page. A proposal goes no further unless the owner approves it with a passkey.
- After approval, saves the reply as an unsent draft in the owner's Gmail. The owner decides whether to edit and send it.
- Sends its owner short status notifications that do not include email subjects or message text.
What CoS does not do
- In its current inbox workflow, CoS does not send, delete, archive or relabel email.
- It is designed to work only with its owner's own Google account and refuses any other account.
- It does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising.
